As the woolly sheep in the flock jump endlessly over one another, our little Shoop decided to bounce off his own way and create a boisterous rhythmical atmosphere exclusively from strings.

Exploring the depth of sonorities from three fiddles, with occasional layers of 5-strings, viola and cello, Shoop's repertoire of original compositions delivers wonderful Balfolk music that will

make you bounce and hop on the dancefloor with the enthusiasm of little lambs in the meadow.

Just as cosy as a woollen blanket in the winter, their enchanting fiddle melodies are wrapped around strong folk rhythms creating highly danceable music. Inspired by the furthest corners of Balfolk traditions from Brittany to Sweden, yet rooted in their Flemish home ground, Katrien Van Remortel (violin, viola), Malicorne Buysse (violin, viola, cello) and David Van Ransbeeck (violin, 5-string violin) skilfully offer a fresh and modern take on Balfolk performance.
